From weekend camping trips to family vacations, this is where we collect the memories we don’t want to forget!

We took the 2 youngest to a children's museum for a day trip getaway in Enid, Oklahoma. As soon as you approach, you'll see their famous wooden castle play structure. It has slides, bridges, mazes, dino-dig, and much more. There is also a smaller area for little toddlers around the castle.

Inside has other activities that cater to science, math, art and more.

There's an area that houses small critters to see, from ferrets and turtles! In another part of the museum is a toddler area with plenty of little things to keep them busy in their own little fenced in area. They also have a mirror maze and other hands-on learning.

While the castle outside is extraordinary, there's a fun 2-story play structure inside if it's too hot or cold outside.
I would recommend this place, but it's definitely geared more towards younger kids, or young at heart! ;)

Lake Teniller in eastern Oklahoma, has always been a favorite place of mine. This lake boast around 130 miles of shoreline and is also nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains. We choose the campground in Cookson, OK called Chicken Creek. It was probably one of the smaller campgrounds I've stayed at, but it was so peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing! (Perfect for my Mother's day Getaway!)

The campsites are all in walking distance to the lake as well as the playground and bathroom and showers.
The hosts at the gate were really friendly as well. Just before you enter in the gates, there's a quaint little convenient store.
Oh, and it rained on us for a bit, not heavy, while we were there, but to me it just added to the beauty of nature! (And I love rain!)

If you’re ever in eastern Oklahoma, I highly recommend visiting Lake Tenkiller. The drive around the lake and out to the dam has some pretty amazing views.
Fun fact: Lake Tenkiller is a popular spot for scuba diving training! In some areas, the water can be clear up to 28 feet deep. Who knew?!
-"We came, we explored, we made memories!"

We decided to travel out to western Oklahoma to Wakita to stop in and see the Twister Movie Museum. Neat little place about the filming of the movie.

We stayed the night tent camping at Roman Nose State Park. Had a pretty owl hanging out with us all day and night.

Erik enjoyed his first camping experience!
